Bespoke adventure experiences for schools
We specialise in encouraging class bonding and team building as well as crafting bespoke events to cater for TY programmes, residential, day and overnight class groups and well-being days. Activities, workshops, accommodation and food can all be tailored to suit your needs. Wild + Free is an inclusive activity provider, catering for students with different needs. It is also a fully accredited activity provider with Irish Surfing, the National Governing body for Surfing in Ireland.
We pride ourselves in operating to the highest standards of safety and coaching standards. Our experienced team of former PE teachers, fully qualified Instructors, caterers and event managers have over 20 years industry experience and are here to work with you.

Surfing School Tours
At the heart of our surf lessons is the desire to coach students and see them succeed at surfing.We believe that by breaking down the technique and teaching the steps pedagogically this gives students the best chance of mastering the technique and building a lifelong love for the sport.
Our level 1 and level 2 qualified surf coaches give individual attention and tuition as well as creating a positive and fun environment. Students will emerge from the surf rejuvenated from the blue gym.
Stand Up Paddleboarding (SUP)
Students will begin by learning basic paddling techniques and safety protocols in a sheltered beach cove. Students will have the opportunity to learn on both a monster (8pax) and individual SUPs. The group will engage in some fun games to competitions e.g. relay races, tug of war.
When everyone is comfortable with the safety and basic technique and weather conditions dependent, the group will explore along the dramatic coastline of the Sliabh Liag Peninsula, into caves and gorges.
Rafting Challenges School Tours
Students will be challenged to think creatively, channel their ingenuity, work together, problem solve and crucially, actively engage with the challenge and one another. Raft Building is a beach team building activity where small teams of 8 compete in a three stage challenge: Build a raft, Make it sea-worthy and finally, launch their vessel and paddle a course.
Our bespoke team challenges are high energy, fully engaging and a serious amount of fun!
Personal development School Tours
Wild and Free deliver engaging, interactive hour long workshops on themes such as perseverance, being present, importance of adapting, community, team work and faith etc.
Students are encouraged to participate, work in small groups, take part in moving debates and have periods for self reflection. These workshops are both motivating and thought provoking.
"The Apprentice" style pitch!
This super fun, highly competitive challenge fosters teamwork, creativity, presentation and time keeping skills! Working to a brief, each team must create their own unique product, give their product a name, logo and brand identity.
Each team will then deliver a 1 min pitch to an executive panel of judges in front of the whole group. Winning team will have bragging rights for the foreseeable future!

Hiking
Under the guidance of qualified mountain guides, the group will be given a detailed safety brief before commencing their hike along the most picturesque section of the world famous Slieve League cliffs. Starting from the viewing point, students have ample time (2.5hrs) to hike up along the cliffs taking in the most spectacular views before retracing their footsteps back to the car park.

We thoroughly enjoyed our school tour with Jono. Everything was well organised. Instructors were patient and very engaging. We did a mixture of beach and water activities. Jono and his team travelled to our local beach Narin.It’s a beautiful location and the beach is fabulous! One of our best school tours according to the children.
