The beach is backed by dunes and offers a peaceful escape with stunning sunsets and plenty of space to explore, paddle, and play.
Tullan Beach
Located just outside Bundoran, Tullan Strand is wild, open, and dramatic. A perfect choice for adrenaline-seekers and nature lovers. With powerful waves and a rugged backdrop, it’s a top spot for more experienced surfers and coastal walkers alike.
The views from the cliffs above are breathtaking, especially at sunrise.
Donegal Town & Bay
A vibrant hub surrounded by natural beauty, Donegal Town is full of charm, history, and local character. Its beautiful bay opens out into the Atlantic, providing a scenic setting for kayaking, SUP, and gentle boat tours.
It’s also the perfect base for exploring further afield or enjoying some well-earned post-adventure food.
Lough Eske
Tucked away in a wooded valley beneath the Bluestack Mountains, Lough Eske is a peaceful, freshwater lake known for its calm waters and tranquil surroundings.
Ideal for stand-up paddling or a quiet swim, this location offers a totally different kind of adventure—gentle, grounding, and full of reflection.
Inver
A lesser-known coastal gem, Inver offers sheltered coves and rich wildlife with a true off-the-beaten-track feel.
It’s an excellent spot for exploring by SUP or on foot, and the scenery shifts with the tides, from sweeping sandy stretches to dramatic rocky inlets teeming with marine life.
Muckross
Located just outside Killybegs, Muckross is a secluded and scenic stretch of coastline with trails, tidal pools, and secret beaches. It’s a great launch point for coastal hikes and paddling adventures, with views across Donegal Bay and beyond.

A traditional village nestled in the heart of Southwest Donegal, Kilcar is surrounded by mountains, cliffs, and sea.

Teelin Bay
This sheltered bay near Slieve League cliffs is a starting point for some of Wild + Free’s most unforgettable water adventures.

Malin Beg & Silver Strand
