Looking for an active, outdoor adventure camp that’s packed with fun, variety, and personal attention? Wild + Free Adventure Camps are the perfect way for kids and teens aged 10 and up to explore Donegal’s coastline, lakes, and forests through a mix of water and land-based activities – all led by experienced, fully accredited instructors.
With small group coaching at the heart of everything we do, your child will be guided, encouraged, and supported in a safe and friendly environment where confidence grows and memories are made.
What’s Included in Adventure Camps
- Daily activities like Stand Up Paddleboarding (SUP), Surfing, and Giant SUP (8-person mega boards!)
- Fun forest adventures – paddle to secret spots for games and nature-based fun
- Coaching by Lifeguard-qualified, Irish Surfing-accredited instructors
- Use of top-quality gear: SUP boards, surfboards, personal wetsuit, rash vest, and buoyancy aid
- Professional photos capturing the fun
- Access to a range of stunning locations including Donegal Town, Lough Eske, Inver, and Rossnowlagh – selected daily based on weather and tides

Qualified Instructors
Behind every great camp is a great team—and ours is made up of fully qualified, experienced, and passionate instructors who love what they do. Our instructors hold Level 1 and Level 2 surf coaching qualifications, providing expert tuition in small groups for personalised, hands-on learning.
They’re also certified beach lifeguards and are fully insured and accredited by Irish Surfing, ensuring your child is in safe, professional hands at all times.
Adventure Camp Health & Safety
- All participants must be able to swim.
- Please apply sunscreen before arriving each day.
- Our fully qualified instructors follow strict safety protocols on land and water.
My Experience with Wild & Free
We booked a private 4 day surf course with Wild and Free Adventure company for a group of 16 children and they had a fantastic experience. Jono was absolutely fantastic. He was friendly, professional and full of energy. The surf instruction was excellent with a great range of teaching and fun games. A special highlight was the use of the giant inflatable SUPs. The children loved paddling on them and jumping off them into the sea. It was a perfect way to break up the lessons.
